Peter Thomas

Peter Thomas is a fifth-generation Idahoan. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, he graduated from Boise State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and public policy. As an undergrad he served as an Intern for the Idaho Senate, working for the Judiciary and Rules Committee and the Local Government and Taxation Committee during the 2011 legislative session.

Peter attended the University of Idaho College of Law, graduating in 2015. While a law student, Peter practiced under a limited license with the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, providing assistance to low-income households in disputes against the IRS.

Peter joined Moore Elia Kraft & Stacey in 2019, where his areas of practice include constitutional law, administrative law, personal injury defense, property and homeowners’ association litigation, products liability, pharmaceutical litigation, commercial litigation, and contract disputes. Prior to joining Moore Elia, Peter was a founding partner of a private legal/lobbyist firm where he represented individuals and entities in commercial litigation and administrative proceedings, as well as in matters concerning property rights, contract formation and review, business form drafting, entity formation and estate planning. Peter also has experience in the realm of workers’ compensation defense.

When he is not practicing law, Peter stays busy with his four children: Casey, Riley, Finneas, and Charlotte. He also enjoys performing with several local bands.
