Craig D. Stacey

Craig D. Stacey is a native Idahoan.  He was born in Idaho Falls and was raised primarily in Boise.  He graduated from Boise State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Craig received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2008.  While in law school, Craig interned with the Land Use Division of the Boise City Attorney’s Office and with the Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court.  He was a member of the Law Students for Alternative Dispute Resolution (LSADR).  Craig also worked for Burkett Law Office while attending law school.

In 2009, Craig clerked at the Idaho Court of Appeals for the Honorable Judge David W. Gratton.  He then returned to the Idaho Supreme Court and clerked for the Chief Justice, the Honorable Daniel T. Eismann.

Craig joined Moore Elia Kraft & Stacey, LLP in 2010 where he practices civil litigation defense.  He emphasizes in insurance defense, civil rights, and represents state and local governmental entities in state and federal actions.  Craig is admitted to practice before all state courts in Idaho and the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.  Craig is a member of the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Craig is married to Shannon Stacey and has a son, Kion Williams.  Craig enjoys many of the outdoor activities Boise has to offer including golfing, mountain biking, and hiking.  Craig also enjoys spending time with his family and supporting the Boise State University’s football and basketball teams.
